Q: Will my Newsletter Writer work without having the HP Marketing Assistant installed?

A:
No, The newsletter Writer for the HP Marketing assistant is designed to only work with the HP Marketing assistant.

Q: How do I access my Dave Beson Newsletters in the HP Marketing assistant?

A: The newsletters can be found under the more documents tab in the “What do you want to create” section.

Q: How can I change the Text of my newsletter?

A: Click on a page where you want to change or remove text. If the text is in a text area, you see a selection rectangle around the text area and a blinking vertical bar (text insertion cursor) where you clicked.

Do one of the following:


To change text, select the text that you want to change. Type new text. The text that you type replaces the highlighted text.

To remove text, select the text that you want to remove. Press the Delete key on your keyboard. The highlighted text is removed.

Q: How can I add a new text area to my newsletter?

A: 1. On the Word menu bar at the top of the window, click Insert. You see the Insert menu items.
2. Click the Text Box menu item.
3. Click where you want to add text. You see a small selection rectangle that contains a blinking vertical bar (text insertion cursor).
4. Type the new text.
5. To remove the line around the text area, on the Word menu bar at the top of the window, click Format. You see the Format menu items.
6. Click the Text Box menu item.
7. In the Format Text Box dialog box, click the arrow for the Color list, Click No Line.
8. Click the OK button.

Q: How do I create a PDF file of my newsletter?

A: 1.To create a PDF of the document that you are working on, click the Generate PDF button at the bottom of the assistance tab.
2. The HP Marketing assistant window appears. Choose the option you would like to complete. Email the document as a PDF file attachment or save the document as a PDF file.
3. If you chose to email the document, you see the email with an attachment that has a .PDF file extension; you can complete the email and send it.
4. If you select save the document as a PDF file, a printing dialogue box will appear briefly, then you will be asked to view the document. Either select yes or no.


Q: Where do I find the PDF files I created?

A: 1.They are located in you’re “My documents” folder.
2. Double click the HP Real estate Marketing assistant folder, within your “My Documents” folder.
3. Double click the folder that has your name.
4. Double click the PDF Files folder
5. Double click on the newsletter you would like to view

Q: Can I make changes to the PDF file I created?

A: No, once you create a PDF file it cannot be modified, you must recreate the changes in a new document before saving it as a PDF file again.

Q: What information should I have ready before I call Tech Support?

A: Please have one of the following; Name of Original purchaser, Customer ID or Invoice ID.
